On 30 September 2008, the Marine Corps University Foundation, Thomas Associates Inc. and Ms. Kim Adamson will host a reception and fundraising event in honor of the brave men of the USMC 2nd Battalion/4th Marines who fought valiantly during the Battle of Dai Do in Vietnam. The heroic actions performed by these Marines, during this battle have become almost legendary within the history of the Corps.
The event will be held at the Globe and Laurel Restaurant in Stafford, VA. All proceeds from this fundraiser will help the Marine Corps University Foundation provide support for ongoing educational programs, endowed chairs named in honor of fallen Marine heroes and other professional military education activities of the Marine Corps University.
The reception features silent and live auctions and book signings. Any support provided will be greatly appreciated, is tax deductible as a charitable contribution and—most importantly—will help fund further education of our Nation’s Marines. If you are interested in attending this event please R.S.V.P to 703.640.9944.
If you would like to support this effort, but cannot attend in person go to www.mcuf.org, “Tribute to Dai Do Veterans” on the “Upcoming Events” page to view items available for bid. Donations can be made online by visiting the “How You Can Help” Page.
