LVSR Deploys to Afghanistan

It was announced on 19 October that the logistics vehicle system replacement (LVSR) that has been developed for the Marine Corps by Oshkosh Corporation, has been deployed to Afghanistan.

A total of three vehicles have been deployed with the Marines, teh latest vehicle deploying this month.

The LVSR is a next-generation repalcement for the LVS and features suvivability, mobility, and performance inprovements including TAK-4 independent suspension system and mechanical rear steering techonlogy that will provide beter mobility on the off road terrain and unimproved roads in Afghanistan.
